The 15th Amendment allowed the african american (after the battle with slavery) to vote mainly.

The 15th amendment also allowed all types of race and color to vote and not just the african americans. Meaning: American Indian or Alaska Native, Asian, Black or African American, and etc. This amendment was held for the freedom of America and peace within all races and colors.
