    The correct option is D.

The power control theory states that the differences in gender delinquency is caused by power play that operates in the family and the parental control that are exercise on boys and girls. The power control theory was proposed by John Hagan. The theory hold that the nature of parental control that is operated in a family influence the ways the boys and the girls in the family are treated and this reflect in their behavior. But generally, less control are usually exerted on boys because they are considered as future bread winner thus they are left to experience the world and this makes them to be less careful in their behavior, besides they normally have less consequences to face as a result of their risky behavior.
