    Ziggurats were the places of worship with steps all around it they were located in the center of Mesopotamian cities. Sumerians were the first to build Ziggurats, Assyrians and Babylonians also used to construct them, Ziggurats of Mesopotamia and Egypt had no influence on each other. The Ziggurats were considered to be the home of god and each city had its own Ziggurat. Many of the Ziggurats no longer exist.
