    Ottoman Empire and the Abbasid Empire appeared in the same region in different time with different origins.

    Explanation:

    The Abbasid empire was

    -a caliphate. It was directly after the line of succession from Muhammad that this empire lay its claim as the third caliphate.

    -it came out of the Saudi Arabian area as other caliphates and was responsible for the expansion of territory in the name of Islam.

    - it was an empire that stretched long into Africa and to Asia proper.

    -dissolved by 16th century.

    The Ottoman Empire

    -it began in the region of Anatolia or modern day Turkey.

    -It began in 14th century.

    -It was Islamic but was not associated with the Caliphate. It took over the land of the Caliphate when it was dissolved.
