Both the article on amazons and the one on Vikings use discoveries in gravesites to connect myth to facts and develop a better understanding of women warriors.

The discoveries in the gravesites showed many types of equipment that are predicted to be used by Females (due to the size of the weapons, the weight, and the shape of the armor). This challenge the past perspective that stated the viking was a society that dominated only by male warriors.
