This style of dealing with conflict is referred to as accommodating. It is one that is centered on selflessness, sacrifice, and low assertiveness. One person is willing to give up nearly everything they want in order to keep the relationship on strong footing with their significant other. It can be a reasonable strategy, but only when the issue is something that is of very little importance.
