    The Syrians were desperate for the Muslim's rule. They had the urge and the desire for them to lead, for they said, "We like your rule and justice far better than the state of oppression and tyranny in which we were. The army of Heraclíus we shall indeed ... repulse from the city." They favored the system of the Muslim's far better than the Byzantine's system. In this case, the Muslims won the battle and the Hims welcomed them.
