Rubor means red or rusty. This term is used often in conjunction with the terms calor (heat), dolor (pain), tumor (mass), and loss of function which all define inflammation. Other medical terms that use "rubor" are the diseases rubella and rubeola which often involves the presence of red spots all over the body.
