In general, the contact between the natives / Africans and the Europeans stunt their development in the long run.

    Explanation:

. (keep in mind that At that time, natives and Africans people still rely on agricultural farming as their main economy, and most of the Europeans still adopt imperialism ideology.)

The early European people initially come to these foreign region in hope to find new natural resources that can support them in international trade

When the Europeans come to Africa, Africa basically found a new source of income that bring more profit, because they possess a large amount of metal that has a really high price among the Europeans. This led to early economic growth for that region. But along with the metal trades, Europeans also took a lot of slave labors to work on their plantations. So even though some people enjoy the prosperity from the economic growth (especially the nobles), the large portion of African people suffers a long term effect of slavery that still lasted even until today.

Even though slavery did not necessarily common among the native Americans (at least not as common as the African people), conflict also occurs between them and the Europeans. This cause them to lost a lot of lands due to war and conquest that initiated by the Europeans.
