What are some of the dangers to the environment (in central America at least 2) and the effects of their destruction?

(1) Deforestation:::It harms wildlife and destroys their habitat. It contributes to the problem of climate change. It causes soil erosion. It affects the water cycle.

(2) Agricultural Expansion : ::Agricultural expansion and higher exports of grains puts heavy strain on the forest area in Central America. The forests are being destroyed at a brisk rate which is damaging the habitats of birds and animals, soil erosion, climate change.

Deforestation is one of the dangers to the environment in Central America. Central American countries have experienced different cycles of deforestation during the last decades due to population growth and logging, which is the cutting of trees. Many forests have been lost in Central America for these reasons.

Other effects of deforestation are the increased susceptibility to fire and the decrease in rainfall rates. Furthermore, deforestation attempts against biodiversity. Animals whose natural habitat is the forest are affected in a very negative way by this phenomena as they cannot survive the deforestation that destroys their homes.

Another danger to the environment in Central America is air pollution. An effect of air pollution is the increase in the risk of suffering lung and heart diseases and allergic reactions. Furthermore, air pollution can cause eye and throat irritation and trigger asthma attacks. At the same time, this phenomena can trigger acidification, the combination of sulfuric acid with water droplets capable of harming animals and killing trees.
