In "Globalization of the Local/Localization of the Global" author Amrita Basu argued that transnational women's movements have been less successful when mobilizing for economic issues and more effective when the basis for mobilization is sexual victimization and their claims are stated in terms of civil and political rights.

    That's correct since women is more vulnerable to this stress sexual situation than being argued for economic issues. Mainly in the third world.
