The encyclopedia created by Diderot contained large amounts of compiled knowledge into three branches: (1) Memory/History (2) Reason/Philosophy (3) Imagination/Poetry. However, although these three can be seen as being part of the human thought category, the encyclopedia equally had information on science and broader ranges of human thought, such as theory and theology.
