    India

    Explanation:

India is one of the largest countries in the world and one that has one of the longest cultural continuities in human history. This is a country where one of the first river valley civilizations developed, along the Hindus River. Being seen as an attractive place for living, the Aryan people migrated to these lands and mixed with the native Dravidian population, giving birth to the Indians. The mix between these two cultures and people resulted in the creation of the Hinduism.

Much later in history, India was a colony of the British Empire. The people were not satisfied with the treatment of their overlords, so there was big revolt. The person that rose to be the leader of the Indian people was Mahatma Gandhi. He did not wanted a violent clash and war with the British Empire, but instead encouraged the Indians to use peaceful methods to oppose the British, and so they did. Because of the movement that was led by Gandhi, the Indians managed to gain independence, though it happened after his assassination so he didn't lived to see what he was longing for.
