Aztecs have a highly structured social class that also applies to their agricultural practices most especially to land ownership. All land including new conquests belongs to the emperor alone. Only the emperor will have the right to distribute the lands among the nobility and the high priests. Those lower in the social classes are bound to serve and tow the lands. Spanish on the other hand, have the feudal land system wherein the peasants worked for the landlord and had more freedom. The difference in their worldviews illustrates that the Aztecs have a stricter bias against the lower classes in terms of land ownership while the Spanish allowed Lords to control lands instead of being directly governed by the King.
