Mexican immigration has reduced to a minimum in recent years. Today, most immigrants that try to cross the US border are from Central American countries such as Honduras, El Salvador, and Nicaragua.

In the case of Florida, its proximity to the island of Cuba, the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico make it the perfect state for Caribbean immigration.

On the other hand, far away places such as Ohio, Pennsylvania, or Michigan are out-migration states due to the distance to the southern border and the strict anti-immigrant policies.
