Wolf shares her observations of how adults react to girls playing with guns versus when they flirt or try to look pretty, as well as to boys who hold purses or play with necklaces versus playing soldier. Which term that we have discussed in class would be the more appropriate to use to label what's going on in these types of adult/child interactions - the social learning approach or the cognitive developmental approach? What makes this term the more appropriate choice?
