    Navigation Acts of 1651.

    Explanation:

The English Parliament, led by Oliver Cromwell, passed the Navigation Acts in the year 1651. The primary aim of this act was to strengthen government's control over trade with its colonies and the rest of the world.

The Acts prohibited foreign ships from transporting non-English goods to England or its colonies. It only allowed English vessels to carry English trade to its colonies.

These acts were adopted to amass wealth and profit from the colonies around the world. With the Dutch as a rival on the conquest for trade control, it led to the Anglo-Dutch War of 1652.
