A researcher who is interested in the behavior of chimps believes that temperature is related to aggression in this species of animal. She goes out to her local zoo during a particular weekend and adjusts the temperature of their climate-controlled habitat to 50-degrees, 70-degrees and 90-degrees Fahrenheit over the course of three days, noting the number of aggressive acts she observes at each temperature level.     Dependent variable represent the result from the varied input. The value is directed related to independent variable.

    Independent variable are variable in an experiment that is been changed or manipulated. They can a stand alone but are been depended upon by dependents variable.

    The temperature ranges is the independent variable because it can stand on its own, they are been manipulated based on the different range.

    Chimps are the dependent variable whose behaviour is based on temperature changes.
