    Negative reinforcement

    Explanation:

In operant conditioning, the term reinforcement refers to the process by which we make the desire conduct to appear more often. (by reinforcing it).

Reinforcement can be positive or negative.

Positive reinforcement refers to give something in order to strength the desired behavior. On the other hand, negative reinforcement, the behavior is strengthened by removing an aversive stimulus.

In this example, your daughter has not cleaned her room. You go and begin yelling. She begins to clean up and you stop yelling. We can see that the desire conduct is to clean the room, the aversive stimulus is you yelling, therefore, by eliminating the aversive stimulus the behavior of cleaning the room is strengthened. Thus, this is an example of negative reinforcement.

Note: Punisher can not be an option because punishments occur when you want to eliminate an undesired conduct (and cleaning the room is a desired conduct).

Classical condition is not the answer because classical condition has to do with pairing stimulus and responses.
