Political Action Committee (PAC), is a term used for campaign financing activities in the United States. Their purpose is to raise money for a political campaign or another political cause. This collection is donated for campaigns for or against candidates, ballot initiatives or legislation.

A super PAC is a political action committee that can raise unlimited sums of money from corporations, unions, associations and individuals, and then spend unlimited sums to openly advocate for or against political candidates.

The function of a super PAC is to advocate for the electtion or defeat of candidates for federal offices by purchasing television, radio and print ads and other media.
