Robert Coram was a British that traveled to the British Colonies with his family, he defended that Native Americans did not value land because he compared the culture of the Natives with the European culture, with that he concluded that the European view of land was to gain profit and when the Natives did not seek profit from the land they did not value it.

Coram concludes that Native Americans don't value land because there is plenty of it shared among all of them. "Land is common among savages; therefore they set no value upon it"
