    The geographical factors caused the settlement in north africa to be heavily located near the rivers (such as NIle) and oasis.

    The region of north america made up of large portion of desert. This harsh environment make it really hard for plants to grow, which make the amount of food resources for the people become extremely limited.

    The area near the river on the other hands, contain a lot of water and nutrients that needed by the plants to grow. This is why the settlement is focused on this are,.
