    Slope intercept form is y = mx + b where M represents the slope and B represents the y-intercept.

    2x = y + 7

    Subtract 7 from both sides so that the y-variable is isolated by itself just like in the general form. Then simplify.

    2x - 7 = y + 7 - 7

    2x - 7 = y or y = 2x - 7
