In a hunting and gathering society, which type of ascribed status was important

    I believe the answer is: Age

    In such society, age is a very important factor since it limit the type of roles that a person could has in the community.

    For example, the boys wouldn't be allowed to follow the adults into hunting before they hit puberty, which make their social status in the society tend to be really low.
