Scholastic philosophy is considered by its emphasis on system. It is a synthesis that tries to establish all the questions philosophy asks and to present the responses in a strictly logical format. This systematization most frequently uses the Aristotelian concept of science as its inner principle of organization. The scholastic philosopher efforts to explain things in terms of their causes with the aid of definition, division, and demonstration. Their ultimate goal was to reconcile faith and reason. Since this philosophy is taught within the Christian schools.
