During the resistance phase, the body begins to stabilize gradually and also remains alert. However at this stage, the individual can adjust and make a more relaxed decision.

    In the scenario above, After Sheila had overcame the alarm stage in which she almost drowned, she became a bit relaxed and was able to concentrate in swimming to the shore.
