High level of physiological arousal will cause a person's blood pressure and rate of respiration to increase. When you run in this condition, you will actually optimize your performance since it the arousal will make you feel more energize.

But, playing golf does not necessarily benefited from blood pressure and rate of respiration. it's a slow game that require you to calm down and take your time to make a decision between your shots. High blood pressure and rate of respiration will actually make you become more anxious and it will interfere with your golf.
