Montriece stood before a room filled with high school seniors and their parents and said, "I come before you today, not as a financial consultant, but as a former college student myself. It has been some time since I've been a student, but I can clearly remember the financial struggles. Today, I'm going to present to you five ways you can cut costs for a college education." Why would this be a good opening for this audience?

Answer:He is providing them a reason to listen further / for them to find a motive to continue listening.

    Explanation:

When students are in their senior phase it is time to start worrying about the money to go to college.

It is not mostly the students who worries about this issue but it is more the parents who start to worry or get troubled by the fact that they need to be sending they children to college.

Maybe some parents have not saved enough yet and they will truly use an advice on how to really be financial smart how to start preparing or saving for their children's college fees.
