List one similarity and one difference between the government of the Rome Republic and the United States

    Both the Rome Republic and the United States used some form of democracy to govern their individual "states." However, the Rome Republic had more of a direct democracy with citizens directly participating in politics, while the United States has citizens elect representatives to represent them on issues in the case of a representative democracy.
