    The first wave of the Industrial Revolution lasted from the late 1700s to the mid-1800s. It industrialized the manufacture of textiles and began the move of production from homes to factories. Steam power and the cotton gin played an important role in this period

    Answer: The Industrial Revolution which began in the 18th century, during this period agricultural societies became more industrialized and urban. industrialization leads to increase in food production, the British population however could be fed at lower prices with less effort than ever before. The transcontinental railroad, the cotton gin, electricity and other inventions permanently changed society to a more complex society. The Industrial Revolution was a time when the manufacturing of goods moved from homes to large factories. Industrial revolution however brought about changes in culture as people moved from rural areas to the urban areas in order to work.

    What sparked the beginning of Industrial Revolution was the steam engine, The steam engine was the energy behind the most advanced textile inventions, such as the spinning mule and the power loom. It symbolized the changes from human power in homes to a complex machine power in factories. Industrialization leads to an increase in population and the phenomenon of urbanization, as a growing number of people moved to urban centres in search of employment.
