What gas does a plant release in photosynthesis?

    Oxygen (O₂) is the gas released in photosynthesis.

    Humans take in Oxygen and expel Carbon Dioxide (CO₂). However plants do the opposite, they take in the Carbon Dioxide and expel Oxygen.

    O2. Oxygen. The plant releases O2, we inhale it, exhale CO2, Carbon Dioxide, which the plant takes in and releases O2.
