When a planet completes a full rotation about its axis, which of these does it also cover?

    Similarly to Newton's law that a body free from forces will not change velocity, there is a law that the angular momentum of a body will not change unless a 'torque' (force acting at a distance from the centre of mass) acts on it. It's rotation is slowing down gradually due to the Moon.
