The maintenance of the blood glucose level in the body is quite important for the normal physiology of the body. Insulin and glucagon hormone maintains the blood glucose level.

The abnormal secretion of the insulin hormone can cause diabetes in the individual. The diabetes can cause polydypsia and even sensation in the bodies. The individual has sensation in her lower extremities due to the diabetes. Her injury risk can be reduced by testing the temperature of the water bath before stepping in.
