Paracrine signaling is different from other types of signaling in that the signaling molecule that is secreted from one cell binds to the receptor of the adjacent cell.

    Explanation:

Paracrine signaling occur between two adjacent cells. During paracrine signaling the signaling molecule or ligand is released from one cell and the released signaling molecule binds the the surface receptor of the adjacent cell.

For example transmission of nerve impulse between two neurons through synapse.
