    Chlorophyll >thylakoid> grana >chloroplast.

    Explanation.

    Photosynthesis is the process by which plants make their own food by use of energy from the sun light. The process takes place in the chloroplasts. It occurs in two steps, namely the light dependent stage and the light independent stage. The light - dependent stage involves the break down of water molecules using sunlight to give oxygen and hydrogen ions. This stage takes place in the thylakoid membrane of the grana in the chloroplast. The thylakoids membranes contains pigments called chlorophyll which trap sunlight that is used to break down water molecules (photolysis).
