We are given gathered data from drilling an ocean floor that reveals that the lower levels contain biogenic sediments and upper levels contain inorganic sediments. Biogenic sediments contain mostly skeletons of deep marine species and inorganic sediments are mostly composed of clays and other animals and plant particles. We can conclude that like any other deep ocean floor, there was a heavy presence of marine life in that area. While the life prints weren't visible in the upper levels, it can still be concluded that the lower levels served as their habitat for a period of time.
