How does a cochlear implant enable the deaf to hear?

    The cochlear implants permit deaf people to obtain and route sounds and speech. Though, these devices do not reestablish normal hearing. They are tools that permit sound and speech to be managed and sent to the brain but a cochlear implant is not right for everyone.
