How is sunlight used in photosynthesis? Sunlight controls the amount of water in plant cells. Sunlight is a nutrient for plants. Sunlight is converted to chemical energy. Sunlight breaks cell walls to allow energy in and out.

    Photosynthetic organisms

    Producers uses the sunlight, water and CO2 to produce glucose and process it into energy.

    Autotrophs obtain energy by the process of photosynthesis. Any living organism need energy to survive and autotrophs are no different.
