    Answer: Wave energy

Wave energy are created using consistent, large waves that rigorously move up and down through the ocean water that contains kinetic energy. The friction between wind and surface water most commonly causes waves and the energy from the wind transfer to the waves, making the water to go into the shear stress that causes the growth of the waves especially if there is a lack of land to resist the power of the wind.

As the water moves, it transmit energy across the ocean and has the potential to travel across an entire ocean basin. Moreover, the more strong the waves, the more it is capable to produce wave energy.
