Let's start with heart: its role is to deliver oxygenated blood to other organs by blood arteries (generally colored in red), the diameter of these arteries decrease until it becomes capillaries, and there will be the exchange of the oxygenated and deoxygenated blood.

The deoxygenated blood is transported back to the heart by blood veins (generally colored in blue), then the heart pump this deoxygenated blood to the lungs through the pulmonary artery to re-oxygenate it then return back to the heart to be redistributed again.

It should be noted that an artery is a blood vessel which transport blood from the heart, and a blood vein transport blood to the heart (so artery is not always an oxygenated blood, and veins is not always a deoxygenated blood).
