Frozen water has less density than liquid water. How does this property of water affect life on earth?

    I think that Ice is denser than water to regulates the life of an organism living in the ice that would capable of them in living there. There are called Thermophiles that lives in by the sulfuric vents at the bottom of the oceans and if ice would be at the bottom, they would survive their.
