Blood leaves the right side of the heart via the pulmonic valve and empties into the pulmonary artery. Oxygenated blood travels from the pulmonary vein to the left atrium. Then it flows through the mitral valve and into the left ventricle. Finally, it passes through the aortic valve and into the aorta.

    Explanation:

Deoxygenated blood leaves the heart, goes to the lungs, and then re-enters the heart; Deoxygenated blood leaves through the right ventricle through the pulmonary artery. From the right atrium, the blood is pumped through the tricuspid valve (or right atrioventricular valve), into the right ventricle.
