On average how many calories are there in 1 gram of a lipid carbohydrate and protein? why the differences

    Ok so let me tell you the amount of calories first:

    Carbohidrates: 4

    proteins: 4

    Lipids: 9

    Now, the reason for this difference is that Lipids are far less oxidized than either amino acids like carbohidrates and proteins.
