Radar allows pilots to see through clouds, rain, darkness, and fog. It can detect objects so a pilot can avoid hitting

them. Radar is also used by the police to detect the speeds of cars on the highway. Radar uses radio waves. Explain

why gamma rays are not used for radar instead of radio waves.

Gamma rays have more energy than radio waves and could harm people.

Gamma rays do not have enough energy to see through the clouds

Gamma rays are slower than radio waves so would not work for police radar speed detectors.

Gamma ray are only in outer space.

    A. Gamma rays have more energy than radio waves and could harm people.

    Explanation:

Those waves contains high energy, which have high frequency and shorter wavelength. Gamma rays are electromagnetic waves which have higher energy due to shorter wavelength and highest frequency. Due to the presence of high energy, gamma radiations destroy living cells of animals and plants and causes many dangerous diseases like cancer. So that's why gamma radiation cannot be used in the radar system.
