    C. Potential Unemployment

    Explanation:

Using technology in vertical farming involves controlling the environment automatically, using technological devices, to grow food. This means less people are needed to grow the crops hence potential for unemployment. While this technology will require regular maintenance, the number of people is employs is less than those it displaces. High unemployment due to automations can lead to instability in society if new jobs are not created.

Other disadvantages of using technology in vertcial farming is; A collapse in technology will likely lead to crop failure due to high dependence on technology in farming.

Because of the isolation of these crops from the natural environment (because they are grown in a controlled environment), their capacity to adapt to any changes in the natural environment drastically reduces - because even pollination is done artificially. Over time, these crops can therefore hardly survive in the natural environment on their own.
