    C) A boundary forms between an area filled with water and an area with both moisture and air.

    Explanation:

The water table is the boundary between the water saturated zone and unsaturated zone underground. Water table is the upper surface of the zone of saturation. In the water level zone the absolute pressure equals the atmospheric pressure and the relative pressure. The saturated zone, the fractured portion and pores of the rocks is filled with water.

The water table region demarcate the boundary where water surrounds the pores or fracture of the rock (aquifer) and the region that lacks abundant water (unsaturated). The upper area which is the unsaturated region contains both air and moisture.
