If the population of red tailed hawks decline or they are removed from the ecosystem, it will affect the ecosystem drastically. As we know that all the animals in the ecosystem play a major role in running the ecosystem. These hawks eat rats and mice and limit the population of rats.

The ecosystem would collapse because its energy would be exhausted by increasing populations of western-diamondback rattlesnakes and elf owls.
