A nurse working in the emergency department is concerned that a client, who is in police custody, is handcuffed to the stretcher. the nurse asks the police officer to remove the cuffs, but the officer refuses. what should be the next action by the nurse?

    The nurse should provide the police officer an efficient explanation as to why the nurse wanted the client's hand to be released from the handcuffs and to also let the police officer know that what the nurse is going to do is for emergency purpose and if not done, it may lead to serious consequences.
