Explain how vestigial structures provide clues about a species' evolutionary past. Illustrate your argument with vestigial structures found in humans or other real species.

    Vestigial structures may not be useful for the species' survival, but they show links in the evolutionary tree. For example, whales have a pelvis, even though they don't need it or anything, showing they evolved with humans
