There are three major types of sedimentary rocks: chemical, classic and organic sedimentary rocks.

    Explanation:

Sediment rocks are formed by the accumulation of sediments. It s the rock that is composed of much smaller rocks and stones. Geological processes are leading to the forming of a sediment rock. These conditions are erosion, weather, dissolution, precipitation, and lithification.

Classic sediments are formed by cemented, fragmented and small parts of rocks that already exist.

Organic sediments are formed of many organic parts rich with the carbon that can be found in plants or other organisms

Chemical sediments are formed of the minerals that can be found in water.
